What beginner programming language is suitable for developing minor programs?
Q. I have learnt some basic command line interpreters, and created a few scripts using them, so I am familiar with the protocols of creating programs, and required to know if there is a simple programming language, capable of developing minor applications, such as alarms, and auto clickers. Not bothering with C++, too complicated currently. Additionally, if you could post a link to x programming language's tutorial, that would be great. Thanks in advance.

A. If you are a windows user get a few copies of Visual Studio Express Editions (Visual Basic.NET, C#), download Eclipse for Java programming. Google those for links. You can write javascript scripts and execute them right in your browser.

What programs on vista need a parental password from an administrator?
Q. Hey, I have Windows Vista Home. So, my dad set up parental controls. I can access programs like my cd games and the internet, but some have the parental controls sign. Is there a way to set things, so you can access it without parental password. I allowed everything, but I still need an administrator password. Also, tell me what programs do need a password and what doesn't need one. Thanks.

A. Hey Henwin- Jeff here with the Windows Outreach Team. Unless you have administrator access to the computer, you will not be able to circumvent the settings put in place by the administrator to access whatever programs the administrator has put restrictions on. As for which programs need a password and which ones do not, that again is also up to whoever has administrator access. What happens to saved programs after tivo service is turned off?
Q. Hey everyone, I am just wondering if anyone knows what happens to saved programs once the tivo service is disconnected (canceled). I have all the programs saved as, "Save until I delete." We are moving and so I am going to disconnect service and maybe start it up again in about 5-6 months. But I am mainly curious as to the programs I have currently saved on the system. Also will the system let me watch them even if the service is disconnected ? Has anyone ever tried this, or knows for sure what happens?! ...Thx.

A. Hi Fairy Godmother. Your programs will be fine. We canceled the service on a TiVo a few months ago because we got a new one. I can see all my stored programs and watch them as I normally did but I can't record new programs. It just says "program data not available" if I try to record. Norm
